    "body": "<p>The works, in the vicinity of Rollegembosstraat, form part of a wider strategy to gradually modernise electricity networks and make them more resilient to faults. The project was prompted by a number of power cuts in the neighbourhood.</p><p>As part of the upgrade, five new electrical substations were installed to replace outdated installations. In addition, two existing substations were thoroughly refurbished. In total, Fluvius laid approximately 5 kilometres of underground cable.</p><p>Underground networks are less susceptible to disruptions caused by weather conditions or external factors, thereby increasing the reliability of the electricity supply. At the same time, electricity pylons are removed from the landscape, which also brings added value for local farmers.</p><blockquote><em>&ldquo;By burying this section of the medium-voltage network, we are taking a major step towards an even more reliable and future-proof energy network in Ledegem.&rdquo;</em><strong>&ndash; Chris Ceule, Local Account Manager at Fluvius</strong></blockquote><p>The project was carried out in collaboration with the municipality of Ledegem, which subsequently carried out roadworks along the route.</p><blockquote><em>&ldquo;This project ensures a more reliable electricity grid, greater security for our residents and a more attractive landscape.
