Storm Austen: street lighting will remain on throughout the night from Friday to Saturday
Storm Austen is set to sweep across Flanders shortly. The storm will be accompanied by severe gusts of wind, which could reach speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour. Fluvius has decided to keep municipal street lighting on – wherever possible – throughout Flanders during the night from Friday 23 October to Saturday 24 October. This is intended to improve visibility during the storm and facilitate the work of the emergency services should they need to intervene.
