Fluvius publishes its 2024 annual report, for the first time with CSRD reporting

Sustainability as key driver for Fluvius

Fluvius has published its annual report for 2024, for the first time with sustainability reporting according to the new European directive CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive). That reporting provides a comprehensive state of sustainability and the impact of Fluvius' activities on the environment. Fluvius is among the first batch of companies in Flanders and Europe to report on sustainability according to these standards.

The annual report highlights some key projects and events, such as the continued roll-out of digital meters for electricity and gas, the launch of a capacity guide for companies, a new policy for heat and increased investments in the sewerage network. The annual report also discusses the issue of blocked access points and the legal steps around the new tariff methodology.

Frank Vanbrabant, CEO Fluvius: "I am proud of the achievements of the past year. Together with our colleagues, we again fully built the networks for tomorrow and contributed to climate adaptation. The preparation of the CSRD reporting is a milestone for our company. It provides an insight into the current sustainability of our activities. It was a challenge for all colleagues involved and I would like to explicitly thank them for the great work."

Fluvius attaches great importance to sustainability. The grid company is committed to working sustainably by minimising the negative impact on our environment and maximising the positive effects.

Fien De Clercq, Sustainability Manager: "We will be working hard on sustainability in the coming years. From our new Sustainability department and in cooperation with all managements, we will further develop the vision, strategy and action plans in this domain. We want to integrate sustainability into everything we do."
